Following Dr. Eric Skarsgard on his grueling 19-hour day at BC Children's Hospital, we meet several of his patients -- some of who need surgery that day, and some who have chronic conditions and need regular check-ups with him -- and learn how he works with medical students and on research projects as time allows.

  • OMG HE HAD A POKEMON HAIR COVERING THINGY HEHE i likes pokemon :D

  • ever since high school he has been focused on radiology- on your graduation day you'll have an joyful and dazed look- get lot of pictures. he said it will be so exciting at your new hospital that you might not realize how run down you'll get so,take an hour a week (that won't have) to be with friends, it will lift the load.

  • @3344utube Well congratulations to your son! speaking of a hard lifestyle, medical school is no rose garden. Its said to me often that the day you graduate from medical school is the smartest you will ever be, and from that day forward you will learn more and more about less and less (specializing), until you know everything about nothing, lol. What field is your son interested in?

  • @jt30741 -no but my son is a new dr..and he told me that being a surgeon is a hard life style for some people. it's long hours and can be hard on a marriage if you don't keep some family time for yourself. but if you have a passion for that field of work it's extremely rewarding. if i go into a hospital i want a surgeon that really wants to be there so i'm very glad we have some med students that are enthusiastic about it .

god bless you for wanting to help people in that way.

  • @3344utube Thanks! are you a dr. to be?

  • long@jt30741 best of luck to you!

  • God bless him
