  • Thank you Chris. I can't really comment on that because I've never heard it before. I am very interested, so if you could provide me witha link or reference I would appreciate it. All I can say is that it's been documented as being used successfully to increase potency for over a thousand years, maybe this was based on a paticular batch being contaminated. I'm certain that it doesn't contain significant quantities of phyto-estrogen (plant estrogen), like soya does.

  • I know, my cameraman, Lewis, was stifling his guffaws

  • this is only a guess but did you used to smoke? It could be nicotine working its way out. Is it the 2 smoking fingers? Other than that I would suspect excess betcarotene before liver failure with skin yellowing. Been eating vast amounts of gojis/carrots? :-)That still wouldn't explain why it was localised though. If you're concerned it's your liver you could ask your doctor to do a simple test. After all it's free in this country, and diagnosis is what they're there for.

  • Thank you. I doubt they're related, your liver needs to be failing pretty badly for it to turn your skin yellow, and I'm pretty sure it affects all your skin, it's not localised. Ho She Wu can possibly be detrimental to the liver if it's bad quality, I have heard of poor quality stock being contaminated with mercury and cadmium, but unless you're buying it direct from china I wouldn't worry- the testing for imports is rigorous into Europe and the US

  • Elwin, first and foremost, I really like your videos. I have a question regarding Ho-She-Wu. I read somewhere that it is very high in estrogen and that men should avoid it since it can decrease testosterone. Paradoxically, I've read that it increases sperm count and helps men in general. Can you clear the confusion up?

  • Mr Wu's hairy back? lol

  • @ElwinRobinson I've never smoke or drunk in my life. Maybe it's the carrots then, as I do quite a few, not sure if it's excessive use, but would pay attention to that. Haven't had goji berries for ages, as I don't like them much. Thanks Elwin!

  • @ElwinRobinson Thanks so much for getting back to me Elwin.

I bought it here in the UK, and it seems the dark version as you described. I stopped taking it for the time being just to see if the yellowness disappears, maybe it´s something else. It´s only in two fingers. Bizarre!

  • Great video Elwin.

How coincidental... I take he shou wu-I imagine it's the same product- sometimes, and have started getting yellow-ey fingers. Was wondering if my liver is being afected by it, as I read somewhere that it could be detrimental for the liver.

Any thoughts that you could share would be much appreciated.

-Maybe, it's interacting with other supplements I'm having.-
