Truth is in Los Angeles they will cut down 400 full grown trees to get the shuttle to the last base...Yes they found fools to pay the price of 12 million to pay the price..And promise to replace the trees two for one.. but how long will it take the trees to grow.?? Why not just cut off the wings......

I'm an Aussie, so it's not really any of my business but all the people who are whinging about the cost should realise that 711 billion dollars (the amount disclosed anyway) is spent on the US military per year.

I'm sure you guys can throw a few bucks at something as inspiring as this. This has been viewed and respected on news reports all around the globe.

Hopefully, kids will see this and strive for scientific achievement instead of less worthwhile endeavours.

i disagree with you on this one. the shuttle program had Los Angeles origins in design and assembly. the shuttle enterprise debut was at Edwards air base in LA county.
