Gameplay begins at 2:27.

Saves between the levels. Silkworm is one of the most playable arcade shoot 'em up conversions on c64, most are way too difficult from the start. However, there's irregularities in the patterns of tracking projectiles based on players position on the screen. Guiding the projectiles to correct locations gets harder at somewhere around wave 08.

  • One of the best shoot'em up on the commodore 64! I used to play it with my brother (I was the heli, he was the jeep :) )! No multi-load too :)

Hint: if you keep shooting the first 2 pieces of the Goose Chopter it will explode and give you 2 extras instead of one.

Good play, the jeep is more difficult to manage than the helichopter!

  • Yeah, I remember now. I had completely forgotten about this. I believe this is the first time I played this on emulator and it's been about 15 years since my last play.

    Thanks!

  • there was a game back in the days, very similar to this one-i think of just 2 big differences-no jumping tank :D and you could switch to a helicopter to transport something i don't remember :( ...

do you know which one i mean???

    thanx anyway

  • Perhaps you are thinking of "Battle Valley". "Rainstrom" just recently uploaded a nice demonstration on that game here on YT.

  • Sorry about the typo, that's Rainstorm.
