  • @51ENGINE51 LA City Fire are fans of LTI ladders and ALF is the only product you can get with an LTI ladder. They use multiple manufactors not for what Xenrus states above, but because they get a better price on the pieces of apparatus if there is competition between them, and they at the time liked both Seagrave and Pierces. Presently LA City has KME pumpers on order because KME came in with the lowest bid, meeting the specs.

  • Nahh, all of them arent

  • LAFD is a huge department and one single manufacturer would not be able to keep up with the demand for new apparatus. Therefore, the LAFD purchases from several different companies.

  • are all LAFD TDA's ALF if so why, and why are the engines pierce?(as opposed to just getting pierce TDA's)

  • sometimes its for scrubbing the bay floor, or they could just be on standby, who knows

  • Why are the trucks parked on the street and not in the station?

  • Si . Todos los camiones de Bomberos son hermosas aqui .

Yes. All Fire trucks are beautiful here.

Oui . Ici tous les camions de pompiers sont beaux .

    Patricio
