These are my two Breeders for 2011 recorded in May-June of 2011. Both males are half-brothers and are exclusive imported bloodlines from 100% Southeast Asian Red Junglefowl lines. They are both approximately 50-60% pure. For more information, visit http://redjunglefowl.webs.com

This video was uploaded from a mobile iPhone. A higher quality more detailed video with recordings of the birds' eclipse molts will be provided in the next month or so.

  • Kong, how ofter you have chicks, cockerel, hen and rooster for sale, how much? Thanks

  • @blackwingking1000

I have never sold chicks, rarely sold juvenile birds, and seldomly have adult hens or roosters available.

We can discuss through private message about prices and future opportunities for birds.

  • I will, I told him you have the best in town. To gain an appreciation, you have to look at where you started. Only some of us will truely appreciate that.

  • @thonglredjunglefowl

Thanks. I'm not sure if I have the best of anything, but as long as I enjoy them then I'm content.

  • they have these all over the place in puerto rico ..big ones i mean they will chase u down

  • i love these two birds! They are probably the best birds standing next to the richardsons and rodney michaels for sure! Cant wait to see them when they have their full plumage.....:)

  • @AIphaKong I thought so and why I asked. So it is a new source as suspected, however, I will respect your confidentiality. they are better thats for sure. Not impossible for phenotype chararacteristic with the Rich crosses, however other things will be comprimised. Breeding for looks alone in any type of animal is doable, however purity would be comprimise again. Not if you breed it back to a wolf and maitain 80-90 % along the line. Take a husky and breed it back to a wolf so on & so on..

  • @thonglredjunglefowl

To clarify, although these are in-house birds, they are not related to any of my past Laos strain birds. I actually no longer keep Laos strain birds. In my opinion and experience, it may very well be impossible to selectively breed for a morphologically correct red junglefowl from red junglefowl hybrids. Consider for example a wolf. Domesticated dogs would not be able to be bred to completely resemble a wolf, neither behaviorally or morphologically.

  • @AIphaKong Do post them up when you can. Yes, you are correct about the Rich crosses...like all animal breeding projects, selection, selection is the key. Just as you have done.....the crow does lack asian jf. Not just the crow, the size also and station of the bird. But if one knows how to select for correct morphological traits and for crow,,,, it is possible. I wish I had the time and space to cultivate these birds as you do. Im glad my Dad is renewing his interest in rjf..its a start.

  • @AIphaKong Hey you are doing an awesome job if these were inhouse bred and are off your original stock. perhaps careful selection will bring out the phenotype for wild rjf such as yours and what you have done and where you started from. I always knew it was doable. You are a fine example.
