We all know those firmware updates that ruin our system instead of what they are supposed to do. Well, what if Super Mario 64 got its own update that didn't quite work right? Well, this code shows an 'update' that swaps certain behaviours around.
Swap certain basic object behaviours around
Approaching a tree causes Mario to spin around. If touch an Amp, Mario will be thrown far back and his cap will fall off. If Mario tries to ride a Koopa shell, he will keep getting set on fire! If you try to pick up a box you will get pushed away, but you can bounce on its top. When using certain types of warps, such as in the flowerbeds, Mario will act as if walking through a door before warping. As for Goombas, if you get close enough to them, Mario will just walk through as if the Goomba were a door. Lastly, if you try to talk to someone or read a sign then you'll get quite a shock!
For some extra fun when using this code: talk to a Toad; jump onto a Bob-omb (see how many times you can keep jumping!). Inside the castle on the first floor, touch the wall near the door that leads to the Bob-omb Battlefield painting room (then look on the other side to see why it shocks you).
