@calladuz Canada's militias were historically and largely ineffective. The successful defense of Canada was due to the British regulars. I'm all for trolling Americans by saying Canada burned down the White House and all that, but this myth is actually believed by too many people.

Sorry, but it was won by Canadian Militias, I guess the War of 1812 isn't taught in American schools. (Burned Toronto (York)? Source?) And how can Canada be a 'barren wasteland' when the USA gets a huge amount of raw resources from us. Grain, Lumber, Water, OIL... We own 8% of your debt anyways.
