1) 0:00 - Sally Was a Good Old Girl by Hank Cochran 1962 2) 2:22 - Out Behind the Barn - Bobby Lord 1962 3) 4:56 - I.O.U. by Teresa Brewer from her 1966 LP "Texas Leather and Mexican Lace".
@glipzik ...I wouldn't say Fats murdered this song....Fats has a style all himself that no one can do but him....If not familar with his style, then you're missing the bus....
July 16, 2010--Hank Cochran passed away from pancreatic cancer in the past day. A great songwriter and (not-as-well-known-on-a-larger-scale-as-a) performer,, he will no doubt be missed by many country music fans who knew of him, and also missed by the musicians and vocalists who respected and covered his vast catalogue of tunes,
I been wanting to hear the original for the last several years and I now finally got to hear the hit version Hank Cochran had which may had been his only hit but I always love the version by Waylon Jennings he did around 1963.

After listening to Fats Domino murder this song all these years, what a joy to hear the original again. *****
Bobby Lord does "Out behind the barn" better than Jimmy Dickens.*****
