More than 4,000 lacrosse fans turned out at legendary Homewood Field In Baltimore on Saturday, April 3rd to see Johns Hopkins face 2nd ranked North Carolina to enjoy a lacrosse tradition like no other. Homewood Field has been referred to by some as the "Yankee Stadium of Lacrosse". Homewood hosted the 1982 World Games, won by the United States. The history of lacrosse at Hopkins dates back to when the school first fielded a team back in 1888. Right next door to Homewood Field is the U.S. Lacrosse Hall of Fame. Each time the Blue Jays score at goal at Homewood Field the school's pep band plays the Hopkins fight song and then fans count out the number of goals scored followed by "we want more". Video shot and produced by WBAL Radio's Scott Wykoff.
