This simply shows how good Layne's voice actually was. Totally stripped down and bare, he still sounds absolutely amazing.

Now looking in retrospect, people will often bash the term, and try to re-write history, saying grunge never even existed, and that nivana was punk soundgarden and aic was metal, and pearl jam was garage rock.perhaps is it because the figureheads of the movement either died,or failed to keep it going,or just wernt consistant. regardless,i think its bogus. the truth is however, grunge was real and Aic was at the forefront of the genre.they just like soundgarden were the more metallic side of it.

Whatever happened to the days when the term grunge was respected and legitimate? Nowadays, it seems customary to say "alice was labeled grunge but wasnt". back then in the early 90's, people could see these seattle bands shared a common sound which crossed heavy metal with punk. This was called grunge. well, the truth is while AIC were metal, they had elements of grunge too whether you like it or not. Try to tell me down in a hole or again doesnt have grunge elements and il just laugh in ur face
