Amazing pianist
-
@ Garland he's definatly caught my attention & I know music from A-Z

Kapustin has this instant wow factor. Its not just the transcendental technique I think its the spontaneity of the thing. His music doesnt have a real precedent - closest ive ever heard is Scriabin especially with the arpeggiations and virtuosity. Bottom line is the man's music is beautiful and totally inimitable

Her technique is wonderful, but I feel as though she is a little too square. Anyone else?
With a flick of his pen, Kapustin unleashes an avalanche of tricky running notes (necessitating a careful study of fingering and expression), leaps and accents on upbeats. Shan-Shan, with her beautiful poise and hungry attack, capably surmounts all of Etude No.8's technical difficulty and even articulates its melody admist a sea of colorful jazz idioms. With hands swooping up and down the keyboard in prestissimo tempo (as indicated by Kapustin), she has the audience in the palm of her hands.
