great singer but i wish she wouldnt ape janis' mannerisms. that is just weird

Cathy is amazing. She also is the vocalist for Paul Kantner's Jefferson Starship, as well as her own band, The Macrodots.

Wow, Cathy does a great job sounding like Janis.......it's nice that they found someone that sounds that close in the ballpark.....with the way music is going these days,it's nice to have bands like Big Brother keeping the days of old alive for us that were there to remember and those that weren't can experience!

@pauletaloca In my opinion Cathy Richardson is one of the best singers, who pays tribute to the legend of Janis Joplin (who CAN pay tribute to Janis). There is nobody else who can do it like her. And at the same time: NO ONE can replace Janis.....that's a little strange, but true. This is a little bit with every person who passes by.... no one can replace them..... (sorry for my bad english, I can rather find the words.)

@atfatw lol. grey and somewhat missing. That generally happens over 45.
-
perhaps you know this person, but I'll bet his hair is real grey or missing altogether
-
@atfatw I know Sam and he does not wear a hearing aid. And his hair is not long.

@BorisSs7 Sam Andrew, rhythm guitar, Peter Albin on bass, and Dave Getz on drums are all still on the stage.
Yes, actually it's 3 of them. Peter Albin (one of the founders), Sam Andrew, (the other founder), Dave Getz, (the drummer). Missing is legendary James Gurley, who was the "star" of the group before Janis. His guitar playing was called an instrument "assault" that needed to be tamed like a wild animal. He was one of a few men who originally defined psychedelic guitar rock. Peace.
