44 laps of high powered Yamaha karts race in honor of the man that did so much for this division of kart racing.
Video by my wife Jen with a Kodak Z612 picture camera in video mode. The camera quality is low but Jen did a good job covering the action while focusing on me in the 64 kart (black kart with gray helmet). I qualified 6th, got shuffled to 10th on the start and finished 5th. I had a great time racing.

The Yamaha field had been dwindling the last few years, Our weekly counts were down sot they reduced our three weight classes to one. Shellhammers officials said they may be able to add a weight class for 2008. I asked instead that they have a memorial race for Frank. Everyone was in favor. The winner of the race drew the #44 (Franks #) for qualifying order. He was one of three drivers that had never met Frank. That's the way Frank would have wanted it. Not picking a favorite. Ed

is that all you run there is karts? looks like a cool track for micro/mini sprints.
