It would be interested to see if the rh factor is involved in either direction, I am rh- and both my children are rh+ and I had severe HG in both pregnancies.

I am convinced if a rh positive woman is carrying an rh negative child, then she will suffer from HG. That seems the most obvious reason to me. Have u looked at this option? I had HG with my son a few years ago.

I had HG during my first pregnancy, and it was much worse with my second. Zofran didn't help me. I had a Reglan infusion pump, and that slowed down the vomiting but it didn't stop it.

I was fortunate enough to carry both my daughters to delivery, they are healthy happy girls. I did lose my gall bladder shortly after the second child, and to this day (2years later) I still have stomach pains and digestion issues.

Thank goodness you are dedicating time to look into HG. I had HG with 2 pregnancies in 1992 and 1995.During my second pregnancy I was much worse, needing hospitalisation. My son was born at 36 weeks with respiratory distress syndrome. He has gone on to have health problems. as have I. I hope your study is successful in finding the cause and possible treatment for this long neglected condition.

I will be signing up for this study. I had HG in 2008 with my first born. I had it for the first 5 months was hospitalized 3 times. Some nurses then where like "oh you'll be fine it's normal , morning sickness effects everyone diffrently". Really! you try feeling near death at the thought of food or the smell of it. I am now 5wks in to my second pregnancy and have already been in the hospital for dehydration and given IV fluids. I have been put back on Zofran like I was in my first pregnancy.
