This interview with trainer and commentator Teddy Atlas was the most extraordinary of the film. We sat down and talked minutes before he had to go on camera for Friday Night Fights, the last remaining mainstream boxing broadcast on television. These are portions that were actually cut from the documentary and could still be titled the Tao of Boxing. Dense, intense and removed from the normal prime time casualness of fighting commentary, it is a pure distillation of boxer + trainer.

  • @LedWhisky69 i like him because he calls it like it is...he doesn't bite his tongue to win favor.... thats why they keep him jammed up on espn friday nights fights...hbo and showtime don't want to hear the truth..they want you to speak on what they scripted you to...no matter whats going on in the fight...

  • teddy atlas is very wise. He knows what hes talking about but the stuff he talks about in this video is not only about boxing, it s about the people, the boxers, the stories, its about life.

  • This is the guy you want counseling you. Almost brings a tear to my eye.

  • The word professional is loosely thrown around in the world of boxing. This guy is a real professional. If boxing was the sweet science, teddy is the professor.

  • @landerskie123 Dude, if u gonna talk shit about somebody, at least know the guy or do some research about him. Teddy Atlas was already a well-known trainer and high repuation in the world of boxing before Pacquiao even started boxing. He also has a book written about him during his childhood days to becoming a trainer. I doubt he needs any attention or fame from Pacquiao

  • this guy is great, listen to him, he understands what boxing is all about, i dont know why people dont like it

  • Cool.

I always thought it was a shame that Teddy and Mike parted ways, I know why they did, but it's a shame.

Very intelligent guy, Teddy - Mike was lucky to have him.

  • Just as the trainer before him cus damato teddy atlas is a true scholar in masculinity

  • I love Teddy

  • atlas is a BEAST!

  • Manny turning down the fight with Floyd Mayweather as well as $100 million not to take a mere olympic style blood test! the exact same blood test at the exact same time as Floyd Mayweather! its proof enough in-of itself Manny Pacman is on steroids! Mayweather takes random olympic style blood test 4 every fight all boxing current requires is a mere urine test; they're 8 deaths a year in boxing and millions of dollars at stake. The truth is that steroids are encouraged by the folks who run boxing.
