Radiofrequency ablation is a minimally invasive procedure that uses heat to kill a tumor. In this video, a Children's Hospital of Wisconsin patient is being treated for an osteoid osteoma, a small, painful, benign (non cancerous) tumor. Radiofrequency ablation is a safe and highly effective technique for the treatment of osteoid osteoma.
