Brisbane Boycott Divestment Sanctions (BDS) campaign activists salute the popular Palestinian resistance to the Apartheid Wall. July 9 marks seven years since the International Court of Justice ruled against the wall and also the anniversary of the Unified Palestinian call for Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS). Anti Apartheid activists in Brisbane have been actively promoting the BDS campaign since July 2010. They have been targeting the Israeli Seacret Dead Sea cosmetic stalls in the city with a series of ongoing actions. On July 9 activists converge on the main entrance to the Myer Centre which hosts a Dead Sea cosmetics stall carrying a large Anti Apartheid Wall banner and a series of wall placards.
The action was part of the global BDS movement to Boycott Israeli goods.
The Boycott Divestment Sanctions Campaign initiated by Palestinian trade unions and civil society in 2005 has the aim of * Ending Israel's occupation and colonization of all Arab lands and dismantling the Wall * Recognizing the fundamental rights of the Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel to full equality; and * Respecting, protecting and promoting the rights of Palestinian refugees to return to their homes and properties as stipulated in UN resolution 194

What about the US-Mexico wall? How about the North-South Cyprus wall? What is the story on the Egypt-Gaza wall? All walls without a reason, presumably?
