The famous jazz pianist grew up in Novosibirsk, Siberia. Since living in Finland Gimer has been actively engaged in concerts and the circuit of jazz festivals throughout Scandinavia. Gimer has also been involved in the music theatre acting as a conductor and a pianist. He has performed alone and in duos as well as with Gimer Trio or Quartet. He has opened for Manhattan Transfer and has been featured with such outstanding musicians as Richie Cole, Dave Brubeck, Ted Curson, James Moody, members of Spirit of Life Ensemble, and Frank Foster Big Band.

Gimer is as fine a jazz artist as we have anywhere, and Barnes is his equal. What a great way to meet these artists and learn that they really are carrying on the jazz tradition with a cool unique flair. This version of one of Harold Arlen's best songs is as good as it gets. You can feel their joy in perfoming. A great posting.
