Builders of ultra fast R/C jets are often not the pilots. Usually an older richer guy who puts up the money to build one. Once its built they do their best to track down a young pilot who is exceptionally good and can keep track of the jet at all times during flight. Notice the guy with the radio is maybe 20, the guy next to him is probably double his age. Just an interesting tid bit about R/C flight a little different from the norm.

Are yes.this is a Airplane designed for a big pulse jet.I think you can buy the kit scout.I bought the kit INFERNO off Hubert from GERMANY.Look up (Days of Speed & Thunder)

This is impressive, but there are RC gliders with no engines that have been clocked at over 400MPH! Don't believe me? Look up "DS world record"

@SteinGermany1939 all the way!!! Some FM 72mhz radios have about a 5 mile range. But you can't see a rc plane more than 1/8 to 1/4 mile away depending on the size and color of it. So long distance is not really an option, only as far as you can see it. Unless you have a heads up display, and onboard camera. But that would make you sick flying it, well it would me. Were do I get off this ride. lol Too Fast...
