What the hell? He says the guys who brutally beat and killed Gwen should be excused because of SOCIETY? They beat her for 5 whole HOURS because she was DIFFERENT! And did it out of free WILL and CHOICE! Not because society makes sexual identity such a rough case and supposedly put pressure on them because of it. Then after they couldn't beat her anymore because she died of her head wound put her remains in a FIELD and then what? Went to a diner and had breakfast. The mom's right; shame on him.

Sad thing is, if it had been a female who was beaten to death for being black, or Latina they would have been convicted of hate crimes in a heartbeat. Why is there a difference?
