what if they were unique to the CD version? it so happens that I found it, so hopefully I'll find out one day... Also, Might you please send me the email of that person involved with darker? I'll try to get in contact with him... as I have a lot of questions regarding old psygnosis titles...

@sorryse2 I think Psygnosis were just the publisher for this title, so I doubt he'd know much about them.

I had the CD version back in the day and the Powerstorm wasn't in that.

I was wondering, the darker manual mentions another craft (seems highly advanced) by the name of ODI powerstorm... Might you have any idea where they are in game? Might they in fact be the stalkers? Could you possibly ask the author if you still are linked with him?

@sorryse2 Last time I emailed him he didn't reply, so I have to assume he isn't interested any more. I also recall the powerstorm from the manual. I think what happened was that the manual was written before the game was finished and they didn't have time to put the third pilotable craft in the game - the author once told me that the game was rushed out to release due to budget concerns and ended up falling short of the creators' expectations.

@ gauezs: hugely interesting: Might you consider a deal regarding this? I would very much want to secure the CD version under ISO or CUE/BIN format. I can point you to rare DOS games I've preserved as a return of the favour. Could you please contact me?

I doubt there is any difference. This plays identically to the original CD version I had. I got this one from underdogs, as I gave my boxed copy away a while back and never retrieved it. Shame, the box was awesome and entirely black, except the cityline was in gloss, and the pylon globes were in white. Great box.

Forgive me, I was woundering:

Are you playing the floppy version of darker or the PC cd version? Are there differences between the 2?

Also, despite how I try to find a real retail copy (preferrably the CD version and not the floppy version they propose on abandonware sites, I just can't find any for sale, this one's an elusive little bugger).
