YouTube's community is its biggest strength. I want to talk about important issues such global poverty and the hardships they face (like the recent disaster caused by Cyclone Sidr) in a way that uses the power of YouTube and its community.

This is my submission to sxephil's "How to Get a Popular Show/Series/Vlog" contest. I am thankful for all my subscribers (all 12 of them) and those who already watch my videos. I'm not trying to become a YouTube celebrity - but I am hoping to get more people interested in the issues and inspired by potential solutions to some of the world's biggest problems.

If you have questions about what my plans are "when I get back" or why I would like to have more views please read my blog post here:

I've also answered some of those questions in the comments attached to this video.

If you haven't heard of Cyclone Sidr or what its impact has been, check out:

I have tagged along with a Canadian NGO trying to provide clean water for the survivors of Cyclone Sidr. I bought some blankets (70) to give out to try and do my part to help.

  • was that a police man he was funny lol

  • How would you like a life of celebacy just because you don't have access to birth control? These people have the desires to get married and have a family like anyone else and they might have been able to support their children better before they got sick, their spouse died, some accident, ect. It's not fair to say, just don't have children.

  • Precious little kids at the end :)

  • Bang Le Douche...

  • How the hell can people dislike a video that's about helping less fortunate people? I just don't understand.

  • My god, you don't have any idea about the people troubled by disasters. You are thinking with your arrogant side of the brain.

    Here is the fact:

    1. The people in BD don't have a place or MONEY to move out

    2. In fact they don't have the ability to move back in the same place.

    3. They don't have enough money for food

    4. Bangladesh is not US/New Orleans

    5. This whole country is a disaster prone. So, moving somewhere else is really not an option

  • 1. watch your mouth

    2. it's are and you

    3. to them someone talking to a camera is a novelty... do you remember being a kid? Did you love being in front of one, or know someone who did (does).

  • the dude who sneeks up at 0:57 ... hilarious... LOL!!! btw nice work shawn!

  • why the fuck r there people just staring at u

  • Thats a good observation. People saying odd things are lucky enough to born in a secured environment. Most of us, we dont feel, unless we touch and keep talking big.
