Finally, FINALLY!!!, I have solved my road wondering problem on this 63 impala, ugh!!!... after 2 alignments, the problem was from the rear tracking bar having a loose bolt where it attaches to the rear end housing. It must have had this problem when it was parked because the nut on it hadn't turned in years and was very hard to tighten. The more I drove this car the looser it got from rubbing the rust off the housing where it attached. It drove ok at first, but got worse and I couldn't find this very unusual problem. Also, I show how to remove an axle shaft without a puller in this video. My own technique??? again maybe???

  • Thanks for the other tips on axle removal. Sounds like they would work also...

  • This fixed it. I had to remove this bolt, clean it up, then i was able to tighten it up tight.

  • nice man

  • When are you gonna paint her?

  • I have my own method for axle removal.Take a junk brake drum and bolt it to the axle flange backwards.Use a hammer and tap the axle out ..;

  • I watched all of your 63 impala videos from start to #65....this evening. It was addicting! I have some old Advance Design trucks just waiting for this type work (that's how i stumbled on your video - your old tow truck). You are an inspiration to me. I even called my wife in to watch a few with me. Kinda like the Roy Rogers of old car restoration. Keep up the good work, Sir.

  • I'm so glad you're making videos again featuring the '63. My dad owned a '63 Biscayne and it's the first car I can remember. Keep us updated on the Impala and thanks for sharing!
