GLAD Team - Tree Planting Event at Peat Swamp of Raja Musa Reserved Forest, Malaysia (Part 2)

GLAD Team together with Global Environment Centre (GEC), Eco Warriors of Malaysia, Selangor State Forestry Department and the members of the public successfully planted 5000 trees on the 18th April 2009 at the peat swamp of Raja Musa Reserved Forest, Kuala Selangor Malaysia. This event was organized by those underprivileged children under the GLAD Teams project. Prior to this event, these children have been giving talks to the public on the importance of trees and the environmental hazards caused by deforestation. Through these talks, they managed to recruit more than 200 volunteers to participate in this tree planting event thus making it possible to plant 5000 trees in a single day!
