This picture montage will tell you a story about a time when I was younger and went to the Scottish Rite Center, which was a language disorder learning facility to help with my reading problems. Going to this learning facility multiple times a day has improved my overall reading skills and language to the point I was reading above my grade level in the 1st grade. Going to the center has taught me one thing and that is practice, practice and everything else will fall into place. The story is revealed through a chronological order of pictures similar to the events that unraveled in this day.

The story starts off with me waking up to the sun as it peaked through the blinds. The next picture explains my excitement for the day. I threw some clothes on and a pair of ninja turtle shoes on, then run into the kitchen to eat some cereal. After eating breakfast I ran outside and experienced the heat wave that hit my body, so I jumped inside of our minivan for the nice cool air. The next picture shows the Scottish Rite Center and its unique ocean themed waiting room and interior aspects. As soon as we get inside I sit down and stare at the clock waiting for my therapist to come and our session to begin. As soon as I see her I jumped up with a wave of energy and grabbed her hand. My heart was pounding the whole way through the sailboat hallway to when we arrived in her office which was also a classroom. We sat down and discussed what we would be doing for the day which included reading a selection of books and talking about them. The books I read included Bernstein Bears, Dr. Seuss and Thomas the Train. After reading so much of them I started to get a headache. After our break we discussed what the books were about. My therapist was happy with the overall progress and awarded me a cherry sucker and a Thomas the Train sticker. The session was over and as soon as we got back to the waiting room I ran up and gave my mom a hug and waved bye to my therapist anxious for the next session. As we walked through the doors I expected the heat and instead felt a cool breeze and a bright blue sky. The day was over and we were on our way home.
