@josh230motorcycl just wait until one of ur 4 strokes need to be rebuilt, if ur a mechanic youd know that 4 strokes are way more expensive to repair than 2 strokes, 2's may need attention from time to time but a 4 haha you might as well buy a new bike when they go
-
how much did akll the rebuild cost i just pute 1950 and some change into my cr250r its an 2002 prob has like 5 minutes of idleing on it wat r u running for oil ? and gas ?
-
@yamahamoto250 yea four strokes BLOW bro time to down grade back to 2 stroke lol i have a 2002 cr250r complete rebuild
-
@josh230motorcycl well to rebuild a 2 stroke top end with rings, gaskets, and pistin + labor is about 300-500 dollars, just to adjust the timing chain on a 4 stroke is 180-300 dollars.ill stick to 2 stroke.
-
funny because my 03 cr250 has never been rebuilt. still has plenty of compression.
-
yeah reckless your right, thats about all i had ever gotten out of any of my 2 strokes as well but for me it was around 100-130 hours then i had to replace a piston and rings and pin and all that fun stuff
-
yeah well i was telling ppl about my personal experience with all of my bikes and im not the only one who has had this expierence, so if your trying to persuade me into thinking any higher of 2 strokes it aint gonna work bro iv had many and i get maybe 100-150 hours out of it and thats easy ridin
-
odd. when i used to race i heard nothing of this top end problem that all 2strokes have. but you get on youtube where all these little kids are bike genius wanna be's and think if they know more about bikes than the next guy..they're somehow cooler. so they all THINK they know everything which ruins this site for people. - Thumbs Down?? Really ppl? bout the same as me clicking a button that says break your jaw. cowards.
-
yeah top ends on the 2 strokes is the main problem because the way the power is distributed it fries the top, on most of them at least, if your having luck with your cr250 maybe honda made them good im not sure about a honda 2 stroke
money pits are exactly what 4 strokes are.
