  • Congrats. on winning!

peta i think has always made its stance of euthanasia pretty clear

this website its just making a issue look super big and scandalize

while they also have a anti humane society of the united states website that just tells me they are founded by the billion dollar industries that exploit animals

  • Did the agency review literature on microchip implants and animal cancer?

Dr. Katherine Albrecht, a privacy advocate and RFID expert, asked shortly after VeriChip's approval what evidence the agency had reviewed. When FDA declined to provide information, she filed a Freedom of Information Act request. More than a year later, she received a letter stating there were no documents matching her request.

You may want to look into some of Katherine Albrecht's work regarding implantable chips.

  • @AlvinAndHobbes Did the agency know of the tumor findings before approving the chip implants? The FDA declined repeated AP requests

The FDA , which, at the time of VeriChip's approval, was headed by Tommy Thompson. Two weeks after the device's approval took effect on Jan. 10, 2005, Thompson left his Cabinet post, and within five months was a board member of VeriChip Corp. and Applied Digital Solutions. He was compensated in cash and stock options.

  • @mustaffa1611 Microchipping dogs is one of the best things you can do for your pet. In the case they got stolen, lost, or run away, you will be in a much better location to be reunited with them. And PETA euthanizes sickly animals via an intravenous injection of sodium pentobarbital, which is said to be the most humane form of euthanasia for any animal.

  • @AlvinAndHobbes Youre probably right about the CCF but they posted the documents that PETA themselves submitted to the VA dept of agriculture. Do you deny the validity of those documents?

What really bothers me about PETA mostly is that endorse microchipping of pets. Mircochips cause cancer and all kinds of problems. Also why is PETA silent on vaccine ingredients... they contain, mercury, aluminum, antifreeze, formaldehyde, etc. Isnt injecting these poisons into pets also abuse?

  • @mustaffa1611 You are so misinformed. Believing stuff from the Center of Consumer Freedom, huh? The CCF routinely leads smear campaigns against animal-rights groups because they're funded by the meat industry and cannot afford the public to hear about the rampant animal cruelty in their own industry.

  • check out the peta kills animals website... they post peta's own documents. Stick with local shelters, avoid peta

In 2003 PETA euthanized over 85 percent of the animals it took in, finding adoptive homes for just 14 percent. By comparison, the Norfolk SPCA found adoptive homes for 73 percent of its animals and the Virginia Beach SPCA adopted out 66 percent
