  • thankx for replying. another question,

so is it ok to have brown rice with chicken curry in phase 1?

dont seperate carbs and fat in phase 1 do you?

  • Hi there - you are right - in Phase 1 you don't have to worry about not mixing. Phase 1 is tough enough without this rule from Phase 2! The weight loss tends to be so good in Phase 1 that this makes little difference

    Hope this helps - Zoe

  • Hi there - many thanks for your nice comment about the videos!

Meat & fish are totally carb free and eggs & dairy products are virtually carb free. You therefore have meat/fish/eggs/dairy with salads/green veg ('fat' meals) OR brown rice/baked potatoes/fruit/any vegetables in 'carb' meals. So a chicken sandwich is not allowed and brown rice & veggie curry is fine, but not chicken curry and rice.

I'll try and explain why in the next comment

    Ciao - Zoe

  • in phase 2 one of the rule is not to have carb meal and a fat meal togater. how does that work>

espically since all foods have some sort of carbs in them. so i am guessing lunch like a chicken sanswich brown bread is not allowed? how about brown rice with a vegetable or chicken curry?

    please help

    thank you

  • Hi! Me again - the simplest way I can explain why this helps so much with weight loss is that insulin aids the storage of fat and insulin is only in the body if you've eaten a carb. So, if you eat fat/protein on its own the body has to use that for energy and it is not able to store the fat because there is no insulin present. If you have a carb meal, insulin gets released but there is no fat to store and the body uses the carbs eaten for immediate energy.

    Hope this helps!

    Bye - Zoe
