This is a tour of my and my sister (SippiForMySoul)'s rabbitry! We breed, raise and show Mini Rex & English Lops; We also show Lily, the mixes, and our Polish & Netherland Dwarf does.

The reason why their food dishes are empty and their water is low is because I just came out to feed them and did the video first, otherwise they'd be too engrossed in their food! Lol.

Also, Magic's door was open because I had to redo the video. I do not leave it open unless I am in there. I had just stepped out and closed the door, not securing it. He doesn't jump out of his cage or anything.

  • Are the first two buns still in those cages? They're rather small, I have a general pet store lop in a cage the size of the second rabbit, and she NEEDS her 4 hours of exercise a day poor lil' mite, only another week before she upgrades to a large dog crate. :)

You have adorable buns, and loving the jumping course. :)

  • Our rabbitry is no longer set up this way. And if you had read previous comments, these cages meet the mininum cage sizes for their breeds.

The wire cage is 24x24 and the rabbit in that cage was a Netherland Dwarf. The other cage I'm unsure of the dimensions at this point, but those cages are no longer in my rabbitry and we only use them for extra weanling/junior cages.

I wasn't attacking you just saying I hope they weren't your idea of a permanant cage, but you sound like you know your stuff. And 2ft x 2ft is far too small in my opinon and should only be temporary acomadation. But thats my opinon and they aren't my rabbits. But are sure as hell cute. x

  • 2ftx2ft is what most breeders have in their rabbitries. Remember that pet owners have different views on cage sizes, but I sure wouldn't put a rabbit in anything smaller than 2ftx2ft. We do also exercise our rabbits, they just do not get exercise every day. Remember these are first and foremost show/breeding animals, but we do think of them as our pets as well. ;) We keep all of our rabbits in 2ftx2ft cages and they are able to fully stretch out and stand up.

I use a 2ft by 2ft cage as a carry case for my groups. But I own a lot of just pet rabbits, and have a breeding pair. And my doe is in a 6ft x 3ft pen with a 3ft x 1.5ft cage base. (nesting) but I guess with me being a pet owner before breeding, and with me being far too sentimental with my lot they cant cost me a few hundred and their binky will do me fine. lol, also Im from UK we have different ideas thanks to RSPCA

  • Ahh yes, the RSPCA does have rules in place about caging requirements. We don't have anything like that over here in the USA.

  • Hi`, I see everyone has ideas on cages, well I put my bunnies in 24 inch by 12 inch now how do you like that? Now heres the trick...... I let them outside all day long in HUGE runs and at nite they go right to bed and fll right asleep, tired little babies :) I do also have 2x3 of wich I put sick or injured rabbits.

Now, What was that about cage sizes?

  • Magic is such a cutie! Beautiful rabbits! :D

  • A chinchilla is a completely different animal I have a chinchilla

  • @lilyandjack

Hmm thats probs why. Everythings so different between us and the USA. Other countries think we're just the same, but we're not.
