Style: Belgian Strong Ale
ABV: 8.3%

From 21st Amendment:
21st Amendment founders Nico Freccia and Shaun OSullivan traveled to Belgium to develop the recipe for this special beer, visiting small, traditional breweries in the hop fields of west Flanders, not far from the famous Trappist abbey of Westvletren. Monks Blood is designed to pair beautifully with rich winter stews, creamy cheeses, unctuous desserts or just by itself, in a Belgian tulip glass, with a good book by the fire.

  • I've seen a few other reviews of this on YouTube but I haven't taken much interest in it. "Monk's Blood" is kind of a creepy name for a beer don't you think?

I've heard their IPA is great though. They don't distribute to New York yet huh?

Is that a Rogue XS shirt you're wearing?

  • Yes, its a Rogue XS shirt.

Their IPA is pretty good. They do distribute in NY.

As far as the name I don't really think its that creepy, plus there are a lot weirder beer names out there then this.
