Would you believe I saw Roy Ayers Band perform this live and in person, at Slippery Rock University, Fall 1975. A young Ricky Lawson was the drummer that night. He would later go on to perform with Brothers Johnson, The Yellowjackets, Steely Dan and later with Michael Jackson on the Bad Tour. In '82, I saw Ricky backing Stevie, with Nate Watts on Bass - The Real Funky Detroit Connections. Saw them all at the legendary Front Row Theater in Cleveland, Ohio. LIFE IS JUST A MOMENT, CLASSIC ROY AYERS
I wish I had half the soul and optimism of the greatness that is Ayers.

The Front Row! There wasn't a bad seat in the hose. I sure hated they tore it down.

An old new friend recommended this track to me tonight. I am glad he did. This is righteous.
