Boston was the birthplace of America's first newspaper. Fast forward to today, and Boston is still at the center of debates about the future of journalism. But what does it all add up to? How is Boston's media adapting to the digital age, and what's the future hold? How's the media doing with the key issues facing Boston and whose stories still aren't being told? In this session, held at the National Conference for Media Reform in Boston on April 8, journalists and editors from across Boston will take a hard look at the state of Boston's media.
Panelists include: Callie Crossley, WGBH; Bill Forry, Reporter Newspapers; Marcella Garcia, El Planeta; Charles Kravetz, WBUR; and Caleb Solomon, Boston Globe. Carly Carioli of the Boston Phoenix served as moderator.
Thanks to Jason Daniels of Easton Community Access Television for the footage.
