Seem to remeber when I was there back around 1990 there was no safety fence as you came out - you used to be able to drop off the ledge in to the moguls at silly speeds, only managed to keep it together a couple of times doing it that way but would rather fall having gone for it than pussy around stopping etc.
Oh to be young and have no sense of danger again.....

Just arrived home from Alpe d'huez. Still having nightmares about this run!!!! Somehow tripped as soon as i stepped off the top and fell maybe 200m down the slope before i managed to stop. thought i was gonna die. Never been down hill as fast in my life - but minus skis this time....
Fuckin most terrifying thing i ever experienced- but by some miracle, ended up with just a bruise on my elbow!!

Love this run went down it that year was the hardest and best run ive ever done and managed do it in one piece wel thought id end up in a heap after bout a second.
was absaloutly knackered at the bottom.

Thats teh black diamond run isn't it? Damn it was hard to ski on, though i didn't fall over so i'm cool. Great fun though.

Le jour ou je l'ai faite y avait plein de poudreuse alors trop fun =D
Le début est impressionant vu qu'on doit faire un "tit" saut mais après c'est génial !
