Steve Khan(Guitar), Jay Anderson(Ac. Bass), Ben Perowsky(Drums) performing Joe Henderson's "Caribbean Fire Dance" live at the Bottom Line, New York, February 7th, 1992
In January 1993, Steve brought his trio of Ben Perowsky and bassist Drew Gress to Los Angeles. This was the one and only time I saw Steve play in a trio setting, having previously seen him perform live with Michael Franks, Zawinul's Weather Update, and the Carribean Jazz Project. I have always loved Steve's playing and this concert footage is remarkable! In a nutshell, this would be a great DVD to have. Thanks for the music Steve.
This is the deal. Great tone, mix and synergy, Steve - I've been a fan going all the way back to Alivemutherforya in the mid-seventies... Coming to S. Florida any time soon?
What a happening trio!! Their music is forever timeless.
