A political advertising parody that IS SUPPOSE TO spoof Republicans and Democrats alike.
(after posting this project that I was sure no one else would have thought of, I found that XCowboy2 had also posted a very similar bit)

  • You should do one for 2012.

  • @nanlisa - Not a bad Idea. Thanks.

  • You really make me laugh. I am hoping that my sense of humor will have a chance to imbue your channel.

I really like the "old fashioned" music and bulletin like they played in the old days. I remember this commercial, and like what you have done for it. Getting Hillary for the "dud" is comical...you could have put in Madoff, Blago or any of the cast of jailbird govs. from my state of Ill.

I really can't see girls swooning over some old GOP guys, unless they were getting high in that room.

  • This bit is kinda' dated, but I was just caught up in the drama of the campaign back then, and frankly intellectually insulted at the ridiculous extent that "all" sides would go to glorify their candidates. I don't if the little girls were high, but the writers and producers of partisan ads surely must be. So a campaign where tweens were swooning over McCain and Thompson seem pretty plausable compared to the rest of the drivel I was seeing, hahaha.

(mommy, please vote for McCain. He's hot!)

  • @cputb1 Boy you're an idiot.

What makes you thing they're high?

  • @MIKECNW - Thanks for the comment Mike. It's always nice when a young intellectual drops by.

  • Those girls must be in either their 50's or their 60's today. Eighteen-year-olds were given the right to vote in 1971. So they probably voted after that. Whether it was Democratic or Republican, I don't know.

  • No problem cputb1. I can't wait to see the one that you do for 2012.

  • VOTE SARAH PALIN 2012.. SHE CAN SEE RUSSIA FROM HER FRONT DOOR.. IF YOU LOVED 8 YEARS OF DUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHBAYA YOU'LL LOVE THIS RE TA RD ED BI TCH.. :o)

  • In the1960's, Hillary Clinton was in high school and in college. John Mc.Cain was a prisoner of war in Vietname. Obama was a kid in Hawaii.

  • Too funny!

  • I agree with you. Look at the marketing (kids meals at fast food chains, candy and snacks placed at the right height for little one's "eyes"

Our society has gone gone over board with the way we reach out to one another now. Your point is well taken. But, now that the dust has settled, one can interpret it the way I did, a satirical poke combining the candidates with an old favorite commercial! :)
