Track 9: You Don't Love Me / Soul Serenade. This is the closing night of The Fillmore East, a very special show that has flirted with an official release for over 30 years.

"The tape begins with Graham introducing the Allman Brothers Band as one of the best he's heard according to his untrained ears, and the band embark on a show that packs a lot into an eighty minute set. The opening numbers show some restraint and not until "In Memory Of Elizabeth Reed" does the band get into an elongated jam session reaching over twelve minutes. The show ends with a twenty minute "Whipping Post" and a seventeen minute encore "You Don't Love Me"/ "Final Serenade" where Duane Allman quotes Handel's "Joy To The World". "

  • Duane and Dickey kick butt on this thang....they really drove them "Pauls n Marshes" like racin' cars that night at the "Fillmo" that night. Amazin' the venue didn't just launch into outer space on this thang. Defines "wailing' ", "smoking' that thang" and inspires us all to pick up our guitars and play. Changed my life, changed millions of us touched our souls.Amen indeed!- johnnyguitar335

  • All time favorite version of this song is on "Boston Common" from 8/71 which is now out on Peach Records. The die hards have it but for those of you looking for more it is a wild ride starting at minute 9.

  • This is Betts's baby, his finest guitar work is on the "You Don't Love Me" this jams. Amazing how he lets Duane take over on the climb up on Lizzie Reed while he stums rhythm guitar but Duane definitely returns the favor on this, my all time favorite Allman cover.

  • I remember dancing around my room playing this song turned up high when the "At Fillmore East" album set first came out. It's just heat breaking to know that Duane would be gone in just four months after this was recorded.

  • love it when the bass rolls in at 1:27 great mix on this all instruments ring through loud and clear.

  • i'd say pete green's fleetwood mac comes close when danny kirwan and the other guitar player were with green

  • I remember hearing the Fillmore album when I was taking dancing lessons at Chastain Park in Atlanta, Georgia. The DJ had the record playing. I was about 13 years old. Something really drew me to the music. Still love to this day...

  • I wish Mr GREG ALLMAN would finialy release all of the FILLMORE EAST Shows

on CD Album Sets and DVD Video. Their loyal fans deserve to to have it all.

Eat A Peach you all. Peace..

  • @javiceres de nada man,eso si tienes q ver cuantas horas lo ocupas, porq al parecer es con cierto limite
