Song is," If everyday was like Christmas", Performed by Dennis Brown. This is an Update on my Granddaughter Mackenzie. As most of you know she has been in the hospital since January with a desease called Congenital Nephrotic Syndrome which is a kidney desease. This is a very rare desease that some children are born with and some children don't live to be a year old. We finally got Mackenzie home in September and she is doing very well. As long as she doesn't get sick she will be able to stay home until her kidney transplant. They are going to be evaluating her in January for one. Until then, she is on dialysis every night for twelve hours and has to be fed by a feeding tube. They say babies with this desease don't eat by mouth. They also told us not to expect her to crawl or walk before she gets a new kidney. But that doesn't let it get Mackenzie down, she is a very happy little girl. When you see her it is hard to believe there is anything wrong with her. But before September we almost lost her several times. She is truly a miracle child and we are so Blessed to have her with us. I want everyone to know that we appreciate all of the prayers for Mackenzie, I believe prayer works and because of all the prayers and the Wonderful Doctor's and Nurses at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, AL who took great care of her is why my little Granddaughter is here with us today. Thank You All So Much! We have a ways to go but with continued prayers we will get her through this. So PLEASE continue to prayer for our little Angel. It has been a while since my last update on Mackenzie beacuse we are so busy with her, I haven't had time to start back singing, so I ask my dear friend Dennis Brown if he would sing this Christmas song for her video and he gladly excepted. I have always loved this song and he did a beautiful job on it. Thank You So Much Dennis, it means so much to me that you did this for Mackenzie and our family. As most of you know Dennis is a wonderful and talented singer, if you have never heard him please go to his channel and check out his videos at: www.youtube.com/user/dbrown5744. You will be so glad you did. I hope you enjoy this little update, if so please feel free to comment and rate. Thank You So Much! I hope everyone has a Wonderful Holiday Season. Take care and God Bless! Your friend, Sandra

  • what age was she when she got her kidney? I am like 20 now and when i was born with this so it's not all bad. it does improve. i know doctors say a kidney only lasts 15 years and isn't permant but when i got mine they said transplants only last 10 years and i've had mine for 16 now. How is the kidney, did it accept, okay?

  • @NAEIRNBRUFORU, Thank You for stopping by and viewing this video. Mackenzie was 1 yr old when she got her new kidney on March 11, 2010. She is doing very well and her body has accepted it very well. The doctors told us that it could be good for 20 yrs plus if she takes good care of herself and do what she is suppose to do. She will be 3 in a couple of weeks. We are so Blessed that she is doing well. That is wonderful to hear that yours has done good too! Best Wishes! Thanks Again! Sandra
