SMARTs new Touch Recognition feature allows the SMART Board to recognize your touch and switch modes automatically. You can write with a pen, erase with the palm and move objects around with your finger without having to access other tools, buttons or on-screen menus.

You can purchase an "SC9" controller from SMART Technologies and this enables the feature. The SC9 controller is the box behind the light on the right hand side. Once replaced, you get touch recognition :D

This would be the BOMB....I'd love it on my SB. I hate having to "switch" modes. Is there really another software out there that can do that on a SB easily and cheaply?

Universal. It works with anything. A standalone process runs in the background and automatically converts from mouse to marker, regardless of the app you're running. It'll even work on the desktop.
