LYRICS
Hear my cry, O God
Give heed to my prayer
From the ends of the earth I call to thee
When my heart is faint
Lead me to the rock that is higher than I
For thou hast been a refuge for me
And a tower of strength against the enemy
A tower of strength against the enemy
And let me dwell in thy tent forever
Hear my cry, O God
Hear my cry, O Father
Hear my cry, O God

  • Mr. Ward performed this song in the netherlands a few weeks ago and it touched my heart. The next morning I wrote down the dutch version of the Psalm and studied on it. S beautifull thet the Lord will put me on a rock that is too high for me. He can do it!! Praise the Lord.

  • @romanticgerman Take my advise: read the books of Corrie ten Boom.

  • @chipleyandfelix: It is actually the Psalm itself set to music.

  • What a beautiful song, it calls me so long after I was ushered out of the church and the presence of the Lord...it still calls me...

  • @chipleyandfelix In your Bible. :)

  • I love it- feel God's love and presence so sweetly in this song

  • @mothermir OMG where was he? I would do anything to see him live again!!!!

  • He did this song with 2nd Chapter of Acts on the double live album called How The West Was Won with Phil Keaggy! It's awsume. Live version is better just vocal and piano. Psalms 61 word for word. God Bless You

  • Best song I've ever heard. Fell in love the first time I heard the song when I was a young boy. I knew there was something there I didn't yet understand. It was a true blessing to have him and his sister do a concert at my church. best concert I've been to. A blessing to all God's people.
