Taken from their last official concert to date - the Union Chapel show on 6-8-2000 in Islington, England. Hope is on vocals (obviously) and xylophone (barely audible) and Dave is on piano.

The pictures in the slideshow are actually all from that concert and were taken from the best Mazzy Site online:

http://www.mazzystar.nu

The photographer was Tony Molina (except the first picture, credit to Stuart Dayman).

I must comment though, this had to be the most polite crowd to ever attend a Mazzy Star concert. Not one out-of-place hoot or holler during the whole concert, and even in the applause there was no wild screaming or anything like that.

On a side note, half the setlist featured brand new Mazzy Star songs that all were presumably going to be on the album that was recorded in 2000/2001 (but never released to this day).

  • Do you have any of the songs that were going to be on the next album that was never made?

  • Let's just say this...one of the song that was possibly going to be on the "album that was never made" has been transformed and resurrected into the brand-new Hope Sandoval solo track, "For the Rest of Your Life."
