Athens Square Skip v.3 - No Upgrades

I finally found an Athens Skip that was both easier than the "longer jump" and requires no upgrades in weapons. This means if you wish to use your orbs on Poseidon's Rage AND do the Athens Skip this method can accomplish that.

This is not as easy as the method in my other Athens Skip video but I still believe it to be far easier than the "longer jump". So I'm hoping it will help some of you.

I filmed this the night I discovered it so excuse my not knowing exactly what I was doing. I go to the menu to show I don't have anything upgraded and I don't have Zeus' Fury.

If you have any suggestions to make this skip better, let me know. I'm sure I will find a way to improve it in the days or weeks to come but I wanted to get this up so everyone could try it out.

Turns out a well timed Icarus Lift is all we needed.

The only thing cutscenes count against is patience..which I have little of.

Thanks. I would consider this the next best method (after Satvara's) for most people because it is easier and still allows a PR lvl 2 upgrade instead of BoC.

BTW You didn't use any attacks in this vid *between Icarus Lift and the initial jump* so what you did is just a cleverly place double jump off a good position on the ledge rather then a Long or Longer Jump by definition.

I know. I started off thinking I would need a long jump or possibly a longer jump from that position but as I kept practicing I kept simplifying it until I simply arrived at an Icarus Lift. No need to make it more complicated than necessary.

Since I learned to do the longer jump yesterday I can actually position myself as I do in this vid and jump onto the bridge without pulling myself up.

At SDA I was not referring to this method at all. I can actually do the real "longer jump" now with pretty good consistency.

Not that I know of but cutscenes don't count against you anyway.
