Between The Bars - Taylor Eigsti trio with Becca Stevens at lake Zurich

"Between the bars" of Elliott Smiths is a beautiful song covered previously by other famous singers, like Madeleine Peyroux. Taylor Eigsti's new album "Daylight and Midnight" revisits this great tune with new orchestration. They presented it live in Rapperswil, Kulturparkette, near Zurich, Switzerland June 27, 2011. These New York based young, talented artists are at the center of an exiting movement of new music, or new jazz, which redefines what jazz or music is today. They are all superb musicians, composers, improvisors, motivated, passionate, friendly and modest. Would be great if there would be more concerts in Zurich area with them and other representatives of this movement, like their close friends and musicians they regularly play with in other formations, Gretchen Parlato, Gerard Clayton, Alan Hampton, Mike Guiliana, Akinmusire, etc. etc. from New York.
