i've made many youtube videos of myself drumming. I've always done it through windows movie maker, however i've now bought a new iMac and hooked it up to the internet. The camera i used creates Mpeg-1 files. Is there anything i can do to make it work on iMovie that's free? please get back to me.

To put a picture above a movie sequence, you can buy a plugin from GeeThree (dot com) which allows you to float a logo or other graphic on top of anything playing in iMovie. Great for 'branding' your videos...

It very intresting the PAL image is a lot sharper compared to the American one. Why didn't the US Networks move to PAL? I have hard the that the Amercan NTSC is a stronger signal which is why you guys and get away with using Rabbit Ears! is that true?

I was going to ask that too. Damn, it's so frustrating not being able to use multiple video tracks

Is there a way where you can put a picture over top of a clip so it is on top of it while the clip is playing in imovie or do you just have to edit the picture somehow?
You can accomplish this through the use of multiple video tracks and stacking each track one on top of another. iMovie however does not support multiple movie tracks. This can be better accomplished through a program such as Final Cut Express or Adobe Premiere which both support multiple tracks
