What is Agave? Some of you would say WTF? Agave is sweet and delicious! It's a great taste, the consistency is similar to corn syrup, maple syrup, or honey. It has a unique flavor. Agave it is said, tastes twice as sweet as honey. In any case, I love variety. Use it as an alternative to corn syrup or any of the major fake syrups, I only advocate natural foods. This featured brand of Agave nectar is Raw!

  • The latest studies on agave saying it is as bad as corn syrup are done on the processed, heated and clear agave nectar. If it is raw it has fiber like fruit which help slow the uptake of the sweetener and it also is pure sugar alcohol, so your insulin wont spike like sugar does to you. Anything in too high of doses will never be good, and i would not over use it, but I myself use RAW agave nectar, RAW honey, and Stevia extract. I mix stevia with agave since i thing stevia alone tastes odd...

  • @n8allen23 Thanks for your input. I do agree with the Raw philosophy. And yes Stevia can have an odd taste at first. I havent mixed it with any other sweet as of yet.

  • I love this syrup! But it's just so sweet that I usually end up using half the amount per serving compared to what I'd consume if I were to use regular pancake syrup from the supermarket.

  • @n8allen23 ricters seed sells "crazy sweet" stevia strain...no herby aftertaste....I ordered a crap ton for my garden

  • Did u see latest...agave is said now to be just as bad for u as corn syrup... Go figure.... I say eat what calls to and feels good....

  • Now thatI live in Cactus Land, maybe I should consider mass production of products using cacti.

  • Yummy!
