When i heard that one of my favorite players, chauncey billups, had been traded from the nuggets, i sat down and made this mix. A hometown hero, billups quickly became popular when he came over from the pistons in the fall of 08, and proceeded to lead the team on a dominant playoff run in the spring of that season before falling to the lakers in a hard fought conference finals. He is widely respected around the league as one of the best floor generals, leaders, and 3-point shooters in the game today. Unfortunately, carmelo anthony refused to sign a contract extension, forcing a trade to the knicks, and billups was dragged in and forced to leave his hometown and family behind.... very unfair to him and a risky move for the franchise. Luckily, the new nugget roster gelled almost overnight, quickly becoming a defensive leviathan minus carmelo, and proceeded to tear up the court during the last 20 games after the trade. However, the nuggets lost in the first round to the only team they could not seem to handle, OKC, in a series which featured completely fair and unbiased, un-superstar based officiating. Anyway, this is a tribute for everything billups did for the nuggets. Hope u enjoy.

Chauncey, thank you for everything you've done for the Nuggets. You've been the best PG this city has ever seen and, more important, you've been the best professional in the history of the Denver Nuggets. I would love to see you playing for Denver again but this seems to be a dream that will never come true. At the very end I want to thank you again, for the great memories we, the Denver Nuggets fans, have experienced during your time as a Nugget.
