In general, any server experimentation that I do, I tend to do with the command line. However some people may be more comfortable with a GUI. This video shows how to install a GUI in Ubuntu Server.

  • Hello, i am completely new to Ubuntu so this might be a dumb question but i installed libreoffice but i cant run it, or i don't know how to run it

  • @bigmac262 how did you install it? Software center?

  • What are you using for your screencast? I see you have a Celeron, but your CPU usage is at ~ 30% even at 1080p. I've tried ffmpeg, but even that seems to take a lot.

  • @regustereduser gtk-recordmydesktop. I have a new PC now. With an i7. But I cant find a decent free screen recorder for Windows

  • @regustereduser sudo apt-get install gtk-recordmydesktop to install btw.

  • OMFG, 1600 MB for GUI.

    Shitfuckdamn!

    Thumbsup fort the #!

  • @irixsyncd Crunchbang is awesome. Probably my favorite Linux distro.
