Child prodigy Adora Svitak says the world needs "childish" thinking: bold ideas, wild creativity and especially optimism. Kids' big dreams deserve high expectations, she says, starting with grownups' willingness to learn from children as much as to teach.

Gotta love her sense of humor :)

I know she didnt just call out George Dubya Bush like that... lol! Absolutely epic moment there.

Well, what more can I say to all that (Adora's Speech)?

We can definitely learn more about dreams (goals) and striving for the impossible just like kids do (or just like most adults did back when they were kids). Its alright to grow up just dont give up on your childhood dreams, when you stop believing... you stop living life to its fullest potential.

Quote:
Adults are always asking little kids what they want to be when they grow up because they're looking for ideas.

  • I've been called that term tons of times, even by kids!

  • @radakat What are you talking about again?? You lost me...

  • I include the stories of us who have experienced and survived abuse as part of what adults may learn from children. Adora hints at this in her comments about trust and restrictions... and about 'childish and irresponsible behaviour'

  • @djlookwood That is absolutely divine of you, I love your channel... keep on doing what you do because youre most appreciated :)

    Blessings,

    Lo

  • Amazing, what a smart and charming girl. She has more charisma and wisdom than a lot of adults than I have met lol. Since my nephew was born, he's taught me that I could always learn form children about how my actions affect others, the same with my nieces. This young lady just confirmed that again. Thank you sis, for sharing this great vid =)

  • @AmaryllisTV U R most welcome beautiful sis :)

Sometimes all we need is a reminder from the young ones... that life wasnt exactly intended to be a bad experience, struggle & a constant battle. I think adults place way too much energy into creating battles and struggles when it really isnt that difficult to view the world as children do.

Whenever I 4get, I like to look to the young ones 2 remind me all abt the magic of being alive, I really do get my inspiration from them.

    Much Love :)

  • I forgot she was 12 my goodness this opened up my perspective on kids

  • DAMN, WOWO, SHE'S GOT A GREAT AND AWESOME LIFE

  • shes mastered the art of speaking without saying anything, whats it matter, whats the point, why am i listening to this,

  • You will get to the point where you will get frustrated because nothing will change. No matter how smart you get or how much you achieve, No speach or planing or rallying or marching protest in the community will stop chilldren from getting shot on theyer way home from school in Chicago Publics Schools in 2012. Solve that!

  • she looks like a teacher and an awesome politician

  • @tekqist28 Yes indeed.

But in my book being full of your self is a good thing :)

Not that I am, not yet anyway.

    This kid rocks.. revolution! whoooooo!

    To dream, to dare.

This is what I hope we as a race will learn at one point in time.

To let go of restrictions and expectations.. and reasons why NOT to do something.

    Peace

  • She makes a point..but she seems a tad bit too full of herself

  • This girls is right! I adore her, she's so intelligent and really show things which are probably obvious, but we don't even bother to think more deeply about them! Go Adora, you rock! ^^
