I can't say whether the allegations made here of Talmudic text are true or not.I don't know much Talmud. I do agree that it's good to have a translation from Hebrew and Aramaic by a scholar who also understands the nuance of the language. The Torah says to stone a rebellious son to death at the city gates, however, the sages explained that this never occurred...possibly stated as such for emphasis. (Anyone ever had someone say"i'm gonna kill you if you do that"? and did they kill you?
