the espresso seems to be extra bitter, if you look at the color of the crema on the top.. It souldn't get that dark. Maybe you're tamping correctly. You're pressing it really strongly

Unfortunately, with a naked handle it shows if you have not tamped correctly.
Next time post when the shot is even.

Why are you using a 41mm tamper for a basket that is 58mm. I know some pro's go a little smaller to make sure the puck doesnt break on removal but that is excessive. Size up your tamper and you will get better extractions.

Shot looks pretty good to me. What's wrong with it? Crema looks excellent.

Why would you post such a crappy extraction?
Your tamp was so off dude...didn't you see the
mousetail lean to one side?...Since you don't know..it means your dose and tamp caused the
water to channel to one side. It found the path of least resistance oh "little jedi Luke".

ppl say 15kg is the corrrect power, but 15kg is very much. ive i use that much power no espresso will come out of the portafilter.

do you tamper with much power or soft? mine is either saur or bitter. :(

I tamper with power. I use the La Marzocco filter for the 41mm tamper.
